Kittens, we weren’t going to let a little thing like a ton of sudden red carpet looks hitting our inbox after a long drought in the desert stop us from flipping on our mics, shooing the various felines off the table, and sitting down for the very thing for which our podcast is named: A classic old-school opinionfest.
First, our thoughts on the upcoming Oscars and how perfectly positioned they are to be the final capper on a year-plus of lockdown and a look forward to the New Normal that’s about to hit us.
Next up, Tom gets an old-fashioned RANT on regarding the failed promises and surprising mediocrity of The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, in light of today’s finale. They didn’t stick the landing on this one, we’re afraid.
And finally, a bit more on the upcoming Halston series from Ryan Murphy, why we’re so excited about it, and why we think Halston is an extremely important figure in queer cultural history as well as fashion history, making Murphy one of the better choices to shepherd this telling of his story.
All that plus the story behind Lorenzo’s Lounges and Tom’s horrifying Philly accent! Darlings, what more could one want from a podcast? As always, thank you for listening!
