We have plenty of main event Oscars content to get through before we start tackling the Vanity Fair Oscar Party, but we just had to weigh in on these looks as soon as possible. Heated Rivalry stars Connor Storrie and Hudson Williams have been enjoying the kind of stratospheric rise in their careers that most struggling actors dream of and it’s been fun watching them enjoy everything that’s been opening up to them in the last year. But boys?

We’re afraid we’re gonna have to get off at this stop. We’ll be blunt (as if you’d want us any other way): We don’t think they look chic or hot here. We think they look pretty silly.

And look, we will absolutely cop to the fact that we each sported sheer tops in our club days so we’re not opposed to them in theory. We just hate the ones they’re sporting here. He’s got an amazing body, but that top is as tight as a pair of pantyhose and the effect simply isn’t flattering, nevermind how dumb it looks with a turtleneck. And the styling has a Derelicte level of silliness and pretension to it. The chain is obnoxious, the rings and the watch look silly and the muff is ridiculous.

Again, spectacular body, but that style of shirt does nothing for it. The train is dumb. None of this suits him but at least he’s not overstyled.

We’ve said it before, but their style teams are doing wrong by them, we think. There’s this concerted – and in our opinion, clumsy – effort to gay them up and force them into hottie styles that don’t suit either of them.
