Queen Maxima made a visit to the Anne-Bo Foundation in Amsterdam, which focuses on providing aid and guidance to young girls from impoverished or refugee backgrounds with educational deficiencies. This wasn’t going to be the kind of royal engagement that calls for big goofy hats or focus-pulling jewelry (two things your girl loves), so she wisely opted for a chic, sober suit that turned out to be the perfect choice for the weather.

We’re so used to seeing her in slightly mismatched pieces or too much satin or with a brooch placed where a brooch ain’t supposed to be, that it’s almost shocking to see her in something serious and businesslike without a single issue. Even the bag is correct. Personally, we think the matching vest isn’t needed and she’d have been better off with a sweater or blouse in a contrasting shade, but it’s not a dealbreaker. Business Max is one of her best styles, possibly because it speaks to her finance background.
