It was all leather and bold colors on the famous ladies at the Zimmermann show in Paris. Brace yourselves for something that almost never happens with these posts: Everyone looks cute! No, really! Just look:

Sure, we’re not without our quibbles. We are, after all, us. Love these colors on her and the whole cool-girl vibe of the outfit. The coat is gorgeous but the sleeves make it look like a bathrobe. The purse looks like a makeup bag.

This is how we know we’ve been doing this gig a long time: the shoes and the print look exactly like something a starlet would have worn back when we first started red carpet blogging circa 2008. Fashion is cyclical, as we well know, but it’s jarring to see things trend back into style that were trendy when you first started writing about fashion. Anyway, she looks cute. The bag’s a bit tacky.

Hate the bag. Love the outfit, if only because it’s so unusual to see Oprah in something so butch and kickass. It doesn’t really feel like her style, but we think it looks pretty great on her. We don’t think that color works for her, though.
