We noted in our pre-Oscars summary of her awards season style that Song Sung Blue star Kate Hudson had been campaigning with a fairly clear and direct “I’m Hollywood royalty and don’t you forget it” message, which she wound up taking straight to the Oscars with her.
And we don’t think she’s ever looked so flawless. If we’re being honest, there are aspects of this design that don’t thrill us, from the bathroomy color to the stiff peplum. But the fit and execution are impeccable and the styling is perfect. Her hair looks gorgeous and that necklace practically makes the look. Just a spectacular look that cements her status as a major movie star and a prestige actress. This is a look that says “I’m at the top of my game.”
