The Testament of Ann Lee star Amanda Seyfried has switched up her promo style for the film. She was originally sporting a somewhat puritanically inspired strict black and white wardrobe, but in recent weeks, possibly because she’s free from worrying about an Oscar nom, she’s loosened things up a bit. For the Paris premiere, she opted for a somewhat uncharacteristic businesslike style.

With a twist, of course. The top looks really great on her, despite the lack of color. We like that big shoulder for her, which may have been why she chose a slim, cropped pair of pants, but we think we like the look much better with the flares in the look book (below). It also looks better with a big belt, but we’re struck by how overwhelmingly ’90s it looks. There’s been a lot of that decade on the red carpet lately.
