You wouldn’t believe the dejected “Oh, NO” that fell out of our mouths when One Battle After Another Star Regina Hall sauntered out onto the Jimmy Kimmel Live set. We should prepare you now, because it was NOT in response to that sad, sheer top.
No, it was in response to that horrifying skirt. We have no idea why anyone would ever wear a skirt made entirely out of string, but the entire point to them is to give the wearer a sense of movement; a feeling that she’s dancing even when she’s standing still. As such, it’s like the worst possible choice for a sit-down. All of the movement and sway goes out of it and it just hangs to the floor, a pile of string in your lap. She’s so clearly uncomfortable in it that her entire posture becomes distracting. Those horrible shoes certainly aren’t helping her. It’s just a terrible set of choices all around. Nothing works here.
