We admit we never saw the success of The Hunting Wives coming, but we kinda think stars Malin Akerman, Katie Lowes and Jaimie Ray Newman weren’t expecting it either. But when Aubrey Plaza and Amy Poehler wind up spoofing you on Saturday Night Live, it’s safe to say your little Netflix show has broken through. Flush with success, the ladies all stepped out onto the red carpet at the Environmental Media Awards, as one does when one’s show breaks through.

Honestly? No notes, and while we haven’t covered her in a bit, we don’t recall ever saying that about one of her red carpet attempts. We could quibble about the bag and the shoes, neither of which do much for the look, but it’s elegant overall and it works for her.

It’s not a major event and it didn’t call for a big, attention-seeking outfit, but this would have been the right time to break one out anyway. This is too plain.
