George Clooney and Adam Sandler stuck to their uniforms and left it up to Riley Keough and Laura Dern to be interesting at the AFI Film Festival premiere of Jay Kelly.

To be fair, they both look pretty good. Neither of them are exciting dressers and it’s actually a big deal to get Sandler into any sort of clothing that has zippers and closures, so we consider this a win. George’s suit is very nice and his shoes are gorgeous.

Our first impulse is to be mean and note that there might be something wrong with your collective efforts when Laura Dern is the best-dressed member of your cast, but that implies that she’s not wearing a great look. Granted, the sleeve situation looks annoying and we don’t love those pointy vamp shoes, but it’s a legitimately great look for her. It’s been a while. Riley’s dress is okay, but a blouse is not a wrap.
