AFI FEST 2025: Rami Malek in Valentino at the NUREMBERG Premiere

Rami Malek is back on his bullshit, it would seem. He made a name for himself around these parts for having an impeccable and interesting red carpet style that he unfortunately wound up tamping down hard when he campaigned successfully for his Oscar. He must not think Nuremberg has much in the way of awards consideration chances going by the outfit he wore to the AFI Fest premiere.

Why Rami. You’re suddenly interesting again. You’re also really orange so you should have a talk with someone on your team about that. We’ve said before that we tend not to love black dress pants with sports coats. It’s not a rule or anything; just a quirk of our own tastes. We find it somewhat stale; an old-fashioned style choice that men tend to default to without thinking about it too much. But we’ll amend that to say that, if the sports coat is predominantly black, then you can get away with black dress pants. This really works, partially because of that unusual tie/shirt combination. In fact, that combo may be the entire reason why we’re responding so well to this. We’ve been so hungry for contrast in men’s suits all year because we’ve been stuck in a monochromatic trend mode. Hopefully, this signals the return of more contrast and pattern in men’s choices. He looks great. Love the ring.
