Blake Lively stepped out for her first public appearance in months, in light of the endless legal squabbling with her It Ends With Us co-star and director Justin Baldoni. She stopped by a Glossy Pop N.Y.C. event called “Reimagining Premium Haircare: From Accessibility to Routine, How Blake Brown is Innovating a Buzzy Category,” which is a string of words we’re not even going to bother attempting to understand. Instead, let’s look at her very themey ensemble:

It’s very, very brown – almost aggressively so – and practically screams “IT’S FALL AND I’M A FASHION GIRLIE” except it’s not really fall (and she’s not really a fashion girlie in our opinion). As always with her, the items feel randomly thrown together. The suit is very nice, but neither the top, the boots, the bag or even the brooch go with it. That’s almost impressive.
