Because we were total bitches to them about showing up to a photo call looking like they escaped a mental institution, Caught Stealing stars Zoe Kravitz and Austin Butler, wounded and chastened by our harsh words, course-corrected mightily for the London premiere.
You’re welcome, world. We would say that our work here is done, but we’ve still got some judging to do on their renewed efforts.
Austin Butler in Saint Laurent
It’s fine. We’ve been feeling a bit iffy on the prevalence of scoop necklines worn with men’s suits this summer, but we can’t fault him for following a trend that suits him so well. The suit is impeccable, although the jacket is right on the line separating “roomy fit” from “too large.”
Zoë Kravitz in Saint Laurent
It’s a pretty basic design, but for the most part, it works for her. We just don’t understand why the bust is so poorly fitted and askew. She needed some major adjusting before she walked out. Can’t say we’re loving the floppy bow, but it’s the only visual interest the look has. What really bugs us is the styling, because a dress like this needs a few aggressive choices in order to work and all of the choices here are mid and underwhelming. He hair looks awful to us.
ABOUT THE MOVIE:
Hank Thompson (Austin Butler) was a high-school baseball phenom who can’t play anymore, but everything else is going okay. He’s got a great girl (Zoë Kravitz), tends bar at a New York dive, and his favorite team is making an underdog run at the pennant.
When his punk-rock neighbor Russ (Matt Smith) asks him to take care of his cat for a few days, Hank suddenly finds himself caught in the middle of a motley crew of threatening gangsters.
