Two things of note here before you scroll down. Emma Stone came to the Venice Film Festival this morning to do a photo call and screen her new film Bugoni, which is already getting Oscar nomination buzz hours later. The second thing of note? She’s still dressing pretty goofy.
Granted, she dressed super-goofy all the way through the Poor Things campaign, right up to the Oscars stage, where she accepted the Best Actress trophy, so we’re not going to pretend that it doesn’t all work for her. But this is a dance leotard for widows. The sandals are nice enough, but that bicep bangle looks totally out of place paired with such a dreary frock.
