The White Lotus stars Parker Posey, Sam Rockwell, Natasha Rothwell and Jason Isaacs came to the HBO Emmy Nominations Celebration to do a little victory lap and serve up some style.

He looks okay, but the outfit’s kind of odd. We don’t think that style of shirt looks right with black dress pants and dress shoes and we don’t think the proportions work. The shirt is way too short and the pants are too long.

She’s been dressing like an elderly lady for some time now and it makes our Gen X hearts hurt just a little. Certainly, if she wants to embrace her wacky aunt persona, we wouldn’t dream of arguing against it, but we do think these styles tend to remove all the quirkiness of her personality. This would look great on Helen Mirren, which means it doesn’t really have the kind of ironic whimsy we suspect she’s going for.

Understood the assignment. It’s simple, breezy and takes a great picture. It’s not too grandiose or too casual. Having said that, we hate the shoes and we think she might have been better off wearing a slip underneath.
