We gave Dame Helen Mirren her own spotlight post because that’s what you do with a dame, but the rest of the cast of The Thursday Murder Club also came out in high style for the London premiere. Let’s be judgy.

Can’t argue with that. While navy blue suits will always look a little too businesslike for the red carpet to our eyes, the purple tie is doing a lot to elevate it.

Celia Imrie

It’s fitted and styled well, but we like neither the style (which is a little too precious) nor the color (ditto) for her.

Naomi Ackie

What a goofy, unflattering design. We don’t understand why anyone would choose to wear a design that makes them look incredibly top heavy.

Pierce Brosnan

Pierce, we’re sad. You’ve shown great classic style all throughout this tour and now here you are, succumbing to the trends like a young. The trend in question being the monochromatic suiting, of course. We hate it. It doesn’t help that it’s all rendered in a highly questionable poo brown shade.

Linen pants are a terrible idea for any picture-taking situation that isn’t a beach wedding. It’s a shame, because everything above the waist looks great on him.

It’s a nice summer suit in a color that doesn’t look good on him at all. We think it’s possible to wear a suit with a polo shirt (although it’s not our favorite look in the world), but laying the collar over the jacket lapels is a big NO.
