Hot on the heels of its fantastic opening weekend, Superman star David Corenswet stopped by The Tonight Show to do a victory lap in the most boring outfit he could find.
It’s a very nice suit and of course he fills it out very well. We suppose there would be some desire on his part to use this moment to pitch himself as a viable leading man and not just as another Superman, so there is, perhaps, some strategic thinking behind the decision to come out dressed like you’re going to your cousin’s wedding. But as fine as the pieces are, and as good as he looks in them, he’s just a mass of black on set. We don’t think he has to dress in bright and bold comic book colors for his promo work, but he does tend to default to these corporate-adjacent looks and we think that’s so boring.
