IN ALAÏA AT THE LIVE WITH KELLY AND MARK STUDIOS
Meh. It’s okay. We give her credit for not defaulting to this shade of blue too much on this tour, so she’s allowed a little bit of theme-dressing now and then. We don’t love the design because of the high neckline, t-shirt sleeves, and the way the skirt just goes kind of flimsy and unresolved near the bottom. If this had been a maxi-dress length, it would have worked better. The sandals are cute.
IN THE ROW AND ALAÏA ON LATE NIGHT WITH SETH MEYERS
She’s definitely a lady who loves herself some mesh dresses. Like her previous entry in this category, this comes off very much like a flex on her part; a way of thumbing her nose at the conventional wisdom regarding how pregnant women should present themselves. It’s also a bit of a flex because, let’s face it, this would be an incredibly difficult style to pull off and/or feel comfortable and confident in for most women in their third trimester. She’s essentially showing off what she can pull off, which is, we think, also why she tends to choose the least comfortable shoes available to her. All of this is a flex on her part. It’s also a pretty sharp look, all things considered, At least it’s lined like a dress, instead of looking like a pool coverup.
