Before they jetted off to Tokyo to be overshadowed by Anya Taylor-Joy, The Super Mario Galaxy Movie stars Charlie Day and Chris Pratt came to The Tonight Show to work pretty much the same fits.

They’re nothing if not consistent.  We can’t get mad at Charlie’s shirt. We tend to get pissy about stars wearing literal branding while they’re promoting their stuff, but we figure if you’re playing Luigi, you get to wear a shirt with Luigi on it. It looks kind of dumb with a nice business suit, however. As for Captain Plaid, he is certainly committed to wearing it and we are duty-bound to support it, if only because we’ve been begging for guys to wear pattern and color all year. We can’t say we love plaid suits generally, but he looks good here. Everything is on point and pretty much impeccable. We like that shirt color. It’s a little unexpected, but it illustrates our point about contrast in menswear. His face really pops. That’s why you do it.
