Rihanna in Saint Laurent at the SMURFS Los Angeles Premiere: IN or OUT?

It’s extremely rare for Rihanna to make a red carpet appearance outside of the Met Gala, so we simply had to separate her out from her Smurfs co-stars. And because she’s pregnant and wearing a fancy nightgown in public, we feel your resolve will be tested if we put this one up to a vote.

We should’ve said “a VERY fancy nightgown.” In fact, it’s a hybrid nightgown/ballgown, which is kind of intriguing, especially with the addition of a moto (something we’ve always claimed can finish off any gown if worn with the right attitude) and a waist bow (something we’ve always loathed with the white-hot intensity of the sun). In sum, there are a lot of elements to this deceptively simple look and your job will be to unpack them, assess them, and come up with an answer to that age-old question:
