Princess Catherine put on her tennis whites, slapped on her royal patron of Wimbledon bow, and hit the ladies’ singles final of the Wimbledon Championships at the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club, where she received a standing ovation from a crowd clearly thrilled to see her out and about. The look, as always, was exceedingly appropriate.

She’s really on this whole pleated skirt/peplum top kick lately, isn’t she? She’s always been one to settle on a specific style and then buy endless variations of it until it cycles back out of style for her. Remember all of those coatdresses? Personally, this style leaves us a little cold and we’re looking forward to the time when she gets tired of it. We have no real critiques of the design, although we don’t love the collar and those fabric-covered buttons look kind of mumsy to us.
