Princess Cathy loves herself some theme-dressing, so it’s perhaps not a surprise she got herself all done up in red and finished the look off with some daffodils in honor of the upcoming St. David’s Day as she and Prince William visited the Hanging Gardens in Llanidloes, Wales today.

Tone on tone on tone. This is one instance where her love of matchy or monochromatic looks is serving her pretty well. Personally, we think she could have broken the reds up a bit with a contrasting or complementary color. This approach tends to look costumey or parade float-y to our eyes. The coat is gorgeous – her coats usually are – and we like the unusual lapel situation. The pussy bow works well with it. The boots are gorgeous.
