The And Just Like That… ladies came out in BIG FASHION for the season three photo call, because we now have photo calls for third seasons of cable series. This is not a thing you’re ever going to hear us complain about. Since this is a very fashion-focused sort of show, the gals all came out hard for it.
And Cynthia Nixon said,”You’re all gonna have to move over.”
Nicole Ari Parker in Stella McCartney
She looks fabulous, although we think the shimmery textile is doing a lot of work. It’s beautifully draped, but strangely shaped. Building out one shoulder like that is an odd, body distorting design choice. The skirt could use another inch or two, not for modesty but because the proportions look odd.
Kristen Davis in Rachel Gilbert
Very pretty, very Charlotte. It comes off more than a little stiff and we don’t think the basic sandals do anything for it.
Sarah Jessica Parker in Archival Vivienne Westwood
She’s a Gen Xer who will always default to stacking her jewelry, but those necklaces make no sense together. The dress, however, is gorgeous. Kind of hard to get that one wrong. The bag doesn’t coordinate well at all.
Sarita Choudhury in Magda Butrym
This is gorgeously simple and dramatic and she clearly knows how to work the hell out of it. It’s a triumph of pose and styling, because the pieces are as basic as basic gets. Love the hair. The bag is not needed. She’s going for a spare sort of style, but this screams for a statement piece of jewelry.
Cynthia Nixon in Richard Quinn
Ms. Nixon has decided to not come quietly. We love the exuberance, but there’s little about the actual design that appeals to us, from the minty color to the overuse of feathers. Still, it’s fun to see her do a little diva turn. She’s got two hot series dropping at the same time this summer so she might as well maximize her slay.
