Benicio Del Toro, Mia Threapleton, Michael Cera, Wes Anderson
The cast of The Phoenician Scheme came out for the Cannes photo call and quite frankly, we don’t think half of them are up to the quirky standards of a Wes Anderson film promotion. But they’re all extremely well-coordinated. We’ll give them that.
Bill Murray and Richard Ayoade

Bill is Bill. If he’d put on pants, he’d have been fine. Richard could not be more on point. Love the look.
Riz Ahmed

There’s a certain sort of beachy chicness to the mesh top and the pants, but those black sneakers really bring the look down. Sandals would have finished this off beautifully.
Rupert Friend

Understood the assignment. We don’t love these monochromatic menswear looks, but the color looks great on him and he’s so well-suited to this sort of 1930s movie star style.
Benedict Cumberbatch

It feels very randomly thrown together as an ensemble, although we sincerely doubt that anyone who would sport a silk scarf as a sling would do anything but curate the shit out of the entire look. If he did, the results are pretty drab. If he didn’t, he should try harder next time. The sling’s the most interesting part. He should have kept the jacket on from the previous shot.
Benicio Del Toro

Seems terribly wrong for daytime by the beach. He looks like a film executive.
Mia Threapleton

Sharp and pretty. It’s also a bit stiff and formal for the time and place, but the low-key styling helps.
Michael Cera

Well… the shoes and socks are cute, anyway.
