Cannes red carpets are often a raucous affair, bordering on chaotic; especially when there’s a large cast. Add a director who knows a thing or two about hype and isn’t afraid to dress like the Hamburglar when the time calls for it, and you’ve got the premiere of Spike Lee’s Highest 2 Lowest.

You’ll have to forgive us, blame the photographers or just chalk it up to a cast with a lot of apparent camaraderie, but we only have a handful of full-length, unobstructed shots. These folks were having too much fun.

Can’t really argue with any of that. Her gown is simple but it looks fantastic on her and it stands out in a crowd. Aubrey’s tux looks great and we like the flared pants. The pop of red is a nice touch. A$AP has never looked so impeccably put together, not even at the Met Gala, when he played with less formal elements.

Spike Lee, Denzel Washington

Denzel puts virtually no effort into his public style, so Spike is there to take up the slack.

Honestly, we thought we’d see more of this on the Met Gala red carpet. It’s fun, he’s having a blast, you can’t take your eyes off him.

Gotta admit, they’re one hot couple. She’s having a hell of a year, what with Hitman and Andor hitting back to back, and her new film premiering this week at the festival. The gown is fine, but we don’t love that color and the bust sits too low. he looks fantastic.

We hate fringe and we’re tired of pink dresses, but this is kind of pretty. It’s nice to see someone sporting bigass earrings again, but this probably needed a necklace more.

Of course she showed up fashionably late. She gets all the passes for being in baking mode, but that’s not a great dress design. No matter what, it’s going to look sloppy. The color looks gorgeous on her, though. He really does look amazing.
