The stars came out to gather applause and awards, as stars tend to do, at the Time100 Gala. Let’s be judgy about all of the honorees, shall we?
Adam Scott
Looks pretty good to us, although he should button the jacket for pictures.
Adrien Brody and Georgina Chapman (in Marchesa)
He seems to be playing around with his rather limited set of style preferences lately, by picking different fits or textures. While we think this suit is an interesting take – love the skinny lapels and the brooch – the shape of it doesn’t really flatter him. She looks great, if a bit generic.
Blake Lively (in Zuhair Murad) and Ryan Reynolds
Credit where it’s due: she looks fantastic. She almost never gets the details completely right, and truth be told, we don’t think green jewelry makes for a very sophisticated choice to pair with a pink gown, but we have no problem with any of this. He’s very orange and his hair is inexplicably messy.
Daniel Dae Kim
It’s a lovely jacket, but he should be wearing a tie with it.
Demi Moore in Zac Posen
It’s a gorgeous gown but the design makes her waist look freakishly small. Yes, she’s thin, but the details at the waist are throwing the proportions off even further.
Diego Luna
It’s so nice to see him in something other than a brown suit and t-shirt! Looks pretty good to us.
Ed Sheeran
It’s a gorgeous suit. We wouldn’t normally recommend that shade of pink for someone who’s fairly pink already, but he’s pulling it off. The skin is glowing.
Gayle King
It’s fine, but we don’t love that bathroomy shade of green.
Hiroyuki Sanada
No arguments here.
Kristen Bell in Carolina Herrera
There’s breezy effortlessness, and then there’s giving the sense that you took 3 minutes to get ready. She doesn’t look terrible, but she doesn’t look… up to the level, shall we say, of the other attendees.
Nicole Scherzinger in Zuhair Murad
Pure diva fabulousness.
Scarlett Johansson in Tom Ford
Meh. It’s elegant, but pretty forgettable. The necklace doesn’t work with the halter and her hair looks painfully tight.
Serena Williams in Stella McCartney
It’d be a cute outfit if she didn’t look like she just got attacked.
Simone Biles in Oscar de la Renta
Oh no, honey. You should’ve raised high holy hell when they tried to give you a dress with a lining more appropriate for Taylor Swift. It’s not a bad look except for that one detail.
Snoop Dogg
He looks amazing. We don’t think he’s ever looked so impeccable on a red carpet. Love the shoes.
