Old pals Ralph Fiennes and Juliet Binoche reunited for the Odyssey retelling The Return, which is finally seeing its UK release after opening in the States in December. They didn’t try to reinvent the wheel in terms of their style choices. We wouldn’t have expected them to, anyway.
They look great together. The suit is kind of drab and businesslike, not to mention a little cheap-looking, but he’s more dressed up here than he was for most of the events during awards season, when he was an Oscar nominee. He should consider laying off the hair dye. Love that Loewe skirt, which Britt Lower also wore last month. Juliet’s toned down the styling for this version and it suits her. We don’t necessarily hate those shoes, but if you wear them with something long, they’re just going to wind up looking like Crocs, and if that’s the case, you may as well just go for comfort and put on the Crocs.

ABOUT THE MOVIE:
After 20 years away, Odysseus (Fiennes) washes up on the shores of Ithaca, haggard and unrecognizable. The King has returned from the Trojan War, but much has changed in his kingdom. His beloved wife Penelope (Binoche) is a prisoner in her own home, hounded by suitors vying to be king. Their son Telemachus faces death at the hands of these suitors, who see him as merely an obstacle to their pursuit of the kingdom. Odysseus has also changed—scarred by his experience of the Trojan war, he is no longer the mighty warrior from years past— but he must rediscover his strength in order to win back all he has lost.
