Queen Maxima joined King Wilhelm-Alexander at the Royal Palace in Dam Square in Amsterdam to welcome the Sultan of Oman to the Netherlands for his state visit. She got her Dior on for the occasion, but because she’s Maxima, things went just a little goofy.
It’s got that classic Bar Suit feel to it, but we can’t say we’re loving – or even mildly liking – the seashell-like embellishments on the jacket. We won’t go so far as to say they ruin the look, because it really is a pretty great ensemble, but it looks better the further away you get from it. We get that she loves gloves, but they don’t look right with this.
