The cast of Abbott Elementary came to their Emmy FYC event smelling of success. There’s a point where the stars of a hit show suddenly all start looking much more polished and stylish because various brands, houses and stylists are all scrambling to get a piece of them. Such is the case with this crew, which has collectively never looked better. Unfortunately, almost all of them made poor shoe choices.
Chris Perfetti

This is cutely casual and suits him perfectly, but those are just about the worst shoes you could pick for this. He needs a much more casual, less dressy pair. Kicks would’ve been fine.
Tyler James Williams in Percival

He should switch out his footwear with Chris’s. We wouldn’t recommend anyone attempt to make a granny square sweater look cool, because apparently, there’s only one person on earth who can do that and you’re looking at him.
Sheryl Lee Ralph

We want to say “Who can argue with that?” but we’re about to start arguing. We hate getting pissy about shoes and belts matching because it feels like such a retro throwback of a fashion rule, but sometimes, you’ve gotta keep the pieces a little closer in color and tone. She looks amazing, but the pumps should be brown.
Quinta Brunson

It’s a little too matchy for our tastes, but it’s a chic and gorgeous look on her.
Lisa Ann Walter

The dress is great. The shoes are horrifying.
Janelle James

Believe it or not, we don’t hate the white trim nearly as much as you might think. We do think the shoes should be black in order to play it down a little, but we like the tweeness of the element combined with a sleek and body-con look.
William Stanford Davis in Gucci

Man’s got a Gucci cardigan on for the occasion. He’s doing just fine.
