The stars got bundled up and gussied up and came out for the premiere of Zero Day, that Netflix limited series you never heard about until probably just now! Let’s judge them.

Showing up, doing the minimum, looking profesh. It’s boring, but then again, you’d be a fool to look to Robert DeNiro for exciting fashion moments. If you want that, turn to Angela Bassett.

We’re not in love with the lace panel, but aside from that and the satin ribbon, it looks like a pretty great dress for her. Of course the coat makes the look.

With a design like this, the success of it all comes down to the fit and the color. The fit’s okay, but the color does nothing for her. As a design, it desperately needs something. We wouldn’t recommend a belt or brooch, but at the very least, some sort of bold, bright cocktail ring would do a lot. Still, we feel like this design either works on its own or it doesn’t. For us, it mostly doesn’t.

It’s a little cutely unexpected, but we can’t wait for this all-black moment to end. It’s making red carpet commentary either boring or impossible, if the backdrop is dark. And with Netflix, the backdrop is almost always dark, so it’s on the stars to make better, brighter choices.

Cute skirt, fun pendant, love the boots. It’s all very professional and put together, but we’d have loved anything other than a turtleneck with it.

It’s a nice enough color, but the style is starting too look stale and those pants are in dire need of a hemming.
