Style File: Meghan Markle at the 2025 Invictus Games

Meghan Duchess of Sussex has been serving up puffy coat realness at the Invictus Games in Vancouver. While most of the fashion on display here is not particularly worthy of discussion (by design, of course; it’s a winter sporting event, after all), your girl clearly loves herself some labels. In other words, while the puffy coats and jackets don’t offer us much to critique, they’re all extremely expensive pieces. But first, the non-puffies:

There was a scramble by the royal fashion watchers to compare this to a similar jacket Diana wore like forty years ago and claim it as yet another “touching tribute,” but the fact of the matter is, it’s a classic style, most royal women trade in said style, and you can probably find pictures of Elizabeth, Anne or Margaret wearing something similar. In fact, we’ve always kind of assumed that Kate’s rigidly retro style and Meghan’s embrace of neutrals were both ploys on their parts to avoid being compared to the famously trendy Diana. Diana was the most exciting royal dresser in a century and both of her daughters-in-law are two of the most boring. We feel like there’s a connection. Loved the flared pants.

Nice sweater, decent color (although most would consider it another neutral) and again, we love the flares. She looks great in them and it’s a nice way to stake out a style that’s all her own.

They’re all great pieces, although it’s perhaps no surprise that the Hermes looks the best on her.
