While all of the stars were off attending various awards shows like the Independent Spirit Awards, SAG Awards or NAACP Image Awards this weekend, Fan Bingbing was in Berlin, closing out the Berlinale the only way she knows how: by being drop-dead fabulous.
She has such a knack for making the tackiest designs in the world like positively regal in their elegance. That bodice is gimmicky as hell but it works because the rest of the design is so minimalist. We feel like we’re supposed to say she needs a pendant here, but this is not the kind of dress that asks for a lot of aggressive styling. It’s basically a put-it-on-and-go sort of gown; not because it’s easy to wear, but because it’s either going to work on its wearer or not and no amount of styling will change that. We hate the design, but she looks pretty amazing in it.
