WAKEY WAKEY, kittens! It’s MONDAY and that calls for some STIMULATION. But look, if you just want to put your head down in the corner and be sullen, that’s okay too. The point is to gather in one fabulous spot and do nothing of consequence all day long, so let’s get to it.

Who will be the next James Bond? The 20 hottest contenders to be the new 007
Amid rumours that Daniel Craig’s as-yet-unnamed successor has been chosen, Tatler weighs up the leading runners and riders to fill the suave spy shoes of James Bond

The identity of the actor set to become the next James Bond has been shrouded in mystery for years, with reports suggesting actors like Taron Egerton and Cillian Murphy are in the running. After months – even years – of anticipation (thanks to repeated delays on account of the pandemic), the final film starring Daniel Craig as 007, No Time to Die, made its long-awaited debut in 2021. The film marked Craig’s final farewell to the franchise, having starred in five Bond films since 2006.
But as rumours continue to swirl around who could be cast as the super agent, see the mostly hotly-tipped names for the next James Bond below, plus some of Tatler’s extra picks for the coolest candidates to have on your radar.

‘The Night Agent’ Season 3: Everything We know
What mission will Night Action Agent Peter Sutherland set out on next?

One of Netflix’s biggest hits, the action-thriller series The Night Agent, returned in January 2025 with its much-anticipated second season after a two-year hiatus. In the 10-episode season, Peter Sutherland (Gabriel Basso) becomes a Night Action agent and is quickly thrown into a world of espionage, political chicanery, and evil dictators looking for world domination. You know, normal stuff!
Before season 2 even dropped, Netflix had already given the thumbs up to a third season of the show based on Matthew Quirk’s mystery-thriller novel of the same name.

The 27 Best Thrillers Streaming on Netflix
For those nights in when you simply don’t want to relax.

While the idea of a quiet night in typically conjures images of several hours spent horizontally on a couch watching sweet rom-coms or comforting feel-good movies, sometimes you want something a bit more high-stakes. For those nights—when you’re feeling up to spending two hours on the edge of your seat, but (usually) without the guts and gore of a classic horror movie—a thriller is your best bet.
But before you start the dreaded endless scroll on Netflix to find the perfect offering within the genre, check out this list instead. We’ve done the work for you and rounded up more than two dozen of the best thrillers on the streamer, from high-intensity heist movies to eerie post-apocalyptic pictures to twisty noir mysteries, so you’re sure to find something here that’ll get your heart pumping.

Is it just us, or is cow print everywhere right now?
Moo-ve over leopard print

Last year belonged to leopard print — there’s no denying it. But it seems as though there’s a new animal on the scene, and it’s taking over the high street.
We’ve been spotting cow print everywhere, and not in a novelty, fancy dress kind of way. A cow hide look is preferable over stark black and white spots. Think browns, beiges and lots of texture — like Adidas’s boxing boot trainers or De Savary’s shearling jacket.
To avoid looking like you’re heading to a rodeo (although, fair enough if you are) we advise wearing the print sparingly. Opt for a statement jacket, shoe or handbag, to add a pop of print to your outfit.

Experts have called 2025 the year of the fringe—I think the ‘heavy fringe’ might just be the coolest one
This bold cut will make your bone structure sing

Last year, we saw curtain bangs, French girl hair, and wispy fringes take centre stage, and according to experts, these fringe trends will be sticking around this year. But where these styles are more effortless, one look set to dominate in 2025 is more dramatic, with a ‘rock chick’ edge, the ‘heavy fringe’.
Now, we’ve seen iterations of this look last year. Taylor Swift sported a heavy, swishy fringe throughout the Eras tour, and bangs aficionado Dakota Johnson recently swapped out her curtains for something a lot fuller. Emily Ratajkowski, too, jumped on the bandwagon, swapping her usually bare forehead for a very heavy, side-swept fringe.

Don’t be put off by this perfume note—it’s a one-way ticket to a rich and sexy evening scent
Smoky and sophisticated

I’ll admit: at face value, smelling of tobacco doesn’t sound as appealing as notes like jasmine or bergamot, for example. But trust me, if you steer towards richer scents like woody perfumes, this note brings a sort of intoxicating vibe to any scent that’s well worth trying.
Tobacco is used as a perfume note more often than you might think. It manages to balance being smoky, woody and earthy all at once. It may work in the background as part of an ensemble of a richer heart or base, or be noticeably present as one of the characterising notes.
Either way, don’t be put off and assume that tobacco perfumes might be too intense for you—this note is found in many striking, wearable and unique fragrances. Intrigued? Here are seven of the best…

This is the denim wash all the cool girls are adding to their denim rotation this year
Take it from the experts

Known as the purest form of denim, this is by far one of the chicest and easiest styles to pair, especially if you’re looking for the next denim trend in 2025. Dark (or raw) denim pieces are untreated and left in their natural form without any added chemicals or water, both of which are often used to achieve specific hues.
This offers a spectacular denim option and can often lead to more eco-friendly denim. Its naturally dark tone looks effortlessly chic, and it is essentially an easy way to incorporate an elegant edge into your everyday wardrobe rotation, and it comes cool girl-approved.

42 Easter nails that you’ll actually want to wear
Cute and cool.

You know us – any holiday is an excuse for a dreamy mani moment, and Easter nails are no different. The only drawback? They’re battling against a bit of a saccharine reputation… because honestly, it’s tricky to make bunnies, chicks and mini eggs look aspirational.
But, while we’ve been scouting socials, we’ve come across countless Easter nail designs that are stylish, seasonal and seriously wearable, no matter where you fall on the minimalist vs maximalist scale.

The librarian cut is for the girls with cowlicks
Think sexy ’80s librarian, in a haircut.

Apart from Cameron Diaz in There’s Something About Mary, name one time a cowlick has stolen the spotlight. No? Us neither. Cowlicks – small tufts that grow in a different direction than the rest of your hair – often get a bad rap, being dubbed unruly or incompatible with a fringe unless you want to do daily battle with your strands.
But that’s all about to change. The Hair Bros – aka hairstylists Nick Latham and Sean Paul Nother – are encouraging us to take a leaf out of their book and make an ’80s librarian our main character energy by embracing our cowlicks.

The Art Of Solitude
Self-care clichés and enforced solo time have skewed our perception of solitude. But with more and more research pointing to its positive potential, Amelia Bell discovers that carving out alone time might just be the key to boosting wellbeing.

The truth is, we all need solo time. ‘Being alone with your thoughts is part of the brain’s “maintenance mode”,’ explains psychologist Dr Sula Windgassen. ‘This is where your default mode network (a system of brain areas that processes thoughts, memories and emotions) is activated and helps your brain automatically emotionally regulate.’ This process, she says, can interrupt the negative effects of chronic stress and even improve sleep quality, the immune system and gut health. Recent research is also connecting the dots, with one study by the University of Reading finding that solitude can help reduce cortisol, provided the time alone was motivated by personal choice. Enforced solitude, such as the shelter-in-place orders during the pandemic, for example, is proven to have negative health consequences.

Elsa Schiaparelli Was the Queen of Surrealism—All About the Late Designer
Since reopening in 2012, the historic house of Schiaparelli has been behind some of the most memorable fashion moments of the 21st century: Bella Hadid’s gilded rib breastplate and Lady Gaga’s flouncy, brooch-bedecked inauguration dress to name a few. But before the French Maison became the buzzy, red carpet image-maker we know it today, it began as a tiny line launched nine decades ago in the Rue de l’Université apartment of an art-minded girl-about-Paris named Elsa Schiaparelli.

Bad Bunny’s Guayabera Outfit Is a Potent Expression of His Puerto Rican Identity
The star’s “most Puerto Rican album” provided an opportunity to highlight an unsung staple of Caribbean fashion.

No outfit is as evidential as the shirt style he chose to wear during some of his press cycle stops. At the historic Casa de la Música in Cayey, Puerto Rico, he hosted an unofficial listening party the day the album dropped this month. There, he wore a white guayabera shirt stitched with the silhouette of the Morro—a Spanish fort in Old San Juan—and palm trees. A few days later, at a Spotify event where he also hosted a dominoes competition, the singer showed up in a light green guayabera.
To the naked eye, it may seem like just another outfit. But for Mailye Matos, who teaches a fashion criticism and history course at the University of Puerto Rico, it’s a garment that embodies Bad Bunny’s—and his generation’s—continued commitment to asserting Puerto Rican identity. “It represents a desire to not lose our traditions and what’s ours,” she says.

The Benefits of Sea Moss, Explained
Sea moss is clearly having a moment. On TikTok, the term has billions views. On Shark Tank, Mark Cuban and Kevin Hart recently invested in a company that sells sea moss gel. And, at many high-end grocery stores—including the Los Angeles-based chain Erewhon—the gelatinous substance has been given pride of place next to the cold-pressed juices in the refrigerated aisle.
But what exactly is sea moss and why is it suddenly, seemingly everywhere? And, more importantly, are the purported health benefits—which allegedly include everything from weight loss to immune support to glowy skin—really true? Read on for a deep dive into the trendy ocean plant.

What Is Garrigue, and if You’re a Wine Lover, Why Should You Care?
These unassuming plants affect your wine in a big way.

Like terroir, the term garrigue was born in France and is a common reference in the world of wine.
Garrigue originated from the Provençal word garriga. It’s a type of scrubby vegetation found on limestone soils, exclusive to the Mediterranean region. Garrigue encompasses a family of scrubs that includes wild-growing native aromatic plants, herbs and trees like juniper, lavender, olive trees, rosemary and thyme. They thrive in the hot and dry climate there.
In the wine world, the term is often a descriptor of wine from Southwestern France, especially the Languedoc, Provence, and the Southern Rhône. Garrigue is shorthand for the herbaceous and peppery aromas and flavors the plants impart to the wines.

Mike Hynson, Surfing Star of ‘The Endless Summer,’ Dies at 82
The hit 1966 surfing documentary immortalized the maverick California wave rider as an archetype of the footloose rebel surfer.

Mike Hynson, who epitomized the image of the bronzed surf god as a star of the hit 1966 surfing documentary “The Endless Summer” and, with his outlaw instincts, embodied the rebel ethos of the sport on his way to being hailed a colossus of the curl, died on Jan. 10 in Encinitas, Calif. He was 82.
His death, in a hospital, was confirmed by Donna Klaasen Jost, who collaborated with Hynson on his 2009 autobiography, “Transcendental Memories of a Surf Rebel.” She said the cause was not yet known.

Yes, It’s OK to Use the Fine China
Readers fight the decline of fine china by using their “good dishes” for everything from pizza to takeout.

Joan Didion once said that she used her “good” silver every day, because “every day is all there is.”
That line, which was uttered to a reporter from my newspaper almost half a century ago, was brought to my attention this month, after we published the story of the 100-year journey of one family’s china, and readers poured their thoughts, and their memories, into the comments section. The use of fine china — and of other accouterments associated with formal supper, like silverware — has been on a downward slope for over a century, and in a nosedive in recent decades.

Lola Kirke Takes Us Inside the Wild West Village of Her Youth
It’s fitting that the cover of Lola Kirke’s new memoir, Wild West Village, is pink—and that it depicts her mounting a bucking bronco atop the Washington Square Park arch. Because one thing is for sure of the horny manny’s, Royal Tenenbaum siblings, and cowboys within its pages: it sure isn’t lilac. Kirke’s memoir, both hilarious and poignant, reminded me of Electric Light Orchestra’s “Wild West Hero,” blending saloon-style piano with rock chords. The song paints the mythic figure occupying so many of our American minds: the cowboy, the cowgirl. They’ve liberated themselves from the rough of the prairie and, more recently, done so while wearing their embroidered jumpsuit, on their way back to New York, catching up with their SLAA sponsor and wishing they could leave the convenience of the city for the open range. One day, maybe. I knew Kirke, too, must have seen that contemporary cowgirl under the stars. Country songs sung by the campfire follow a similar structure to the chapters in Kirke’s Wild West Village. Both are succinct and undeniably honest, and might include a reference to George Strait or Julian Casablancas. A few weeks before its publication, when she and I met for breakfast just south of 14th Street, I had one question: did Kirke, who now lives in Nashville, find her Wild West Hero—or did she become one herself?

This Stunning Hotel Helps Make St. Moritz, Switzerland, One of the Most Luxurious Ski Destinations in Europe
In the ever-exclusive Swiss town of St. Moritz, it doesn’t get more luxurious than Grand Hotel des Bains Kempinski. Here’s what it’s like to stay.

St. Moritz, Switzerland, the luxury resort town with a penchant for tomfoolery, is one of those spirited destinations where serious athletes, eccentric artists, and après enthusiasts converge.
Considered the birthplace of Alpine winter tourism, the town sits at roughly 6,000 feet elevation in Switzerland’s Engadin valley. St. Moritz hosted the Winter Olympics twice (1928 and 1948) as well as Europe’s first curling tournament (1880), continues the tradition of the Cresta Run – a yearly hand-built, world-championship bobsled run made of natural ice – and is so sought-after that even the local Lake St. Moritz has an impressively booked winter schedule. The frozen body of water presents skijoring behind galloping horses, snow polo, cricket, and vintage car racing.
The town of 5,000 residents that has self-branded as the Top of the World, sells its own oak-forward room fragrance, polarized sunglasses, and Assouline book, titled St. Moritz Chic. Since 1937, the town colors of blue and yellow have been protected by trademark.
