Rare is the occasion when you’ll find us complaining that an actress wore a dress to a film premiere, but we feel like If I Had Legs I’d Kick You star Rose Byrne is not quite getting with the whole Sundance Film Festival vibe.
Granted, there’s certainly no rule that one has to dress in cozy cold-weather outfits for Sundance, but a sleeveless gown with a giant satin bow just feels strange to us at an event where other people are wearing sweaters and snow boots. From a design perspective, the bow looks entirely disproportionate with the rest of the dress. Once you commit to the spaghetti straps, you should probably forego any sense of exuberance in the design. Having said that, we love that shade of green paired with black and the jewelry is well chosen. We’d have told her to ditch the bow, keep the sash, and find herself a cute little bolero or shrug.
