The POWER WOMEN held a SUMMIT and everyone dressed for a FUNERAL. There’s probably a bit of a message in there somewhere, but we’re gonna stick with what we do best: rate the looks. The Wrap held their Power Women Summit and the celebrity women who came dressed seriously for the occasion.
Elle Fanning and Dakota Fanning
It’s giving “The Many Faces of Hillary.” Joking aside, it would seem that this event – if not this moment in time – called for a serious and professional tone from its attendees. Personally, we don’t like either of these outfits, which age up both wearers by about three or four decades, but in reading the room, we think they’re probably correct for the venue. At least they chose interesting shoes, although we kinda hate Dakota’s.
Kathryn Hahn
This is great. No notes. If it were a different kind of gathering, we might have had thoughts on accessorizing here, but the suit is dramatic enough on its own.
Laura Dern
It’s borderline folk costume, but if there’s any actress out there who could make “kindly witch who lives in the woods” her style guide, it would be her. She’s built for Boho. We think there are better iterations of it than this, but we really like the direction for her.
