A whole bunch of A-list celebrity ladies sat down for a Chanel luncheon hosted by the Academy of Motion Pictures Arts and Sciences. They got all Chanel’d up for the occasion. This was mostly not a good thing.
Amy Adams
We’re sighing in resignation. It’s fine.
Ariana Grande
Wow. It’s almost shocking to see her wearing something other than a pink princess gown. We forgot she could wear other things. This feels so novel that we don’t even mind the poor fit.
Awkwafina
It’s likely that those are Chanel jeans and that they cost about as much as your rent or mortgage. Even so, they look like crap and they pull the rest of the look down. Not that the rest of it is all that great for anyone under the age of 90. The shoes are cute.
Connie Nielsen
It’s kind of chic. We realize a belt would make her look like a flasher, but it does feel like this is missing something.
Gal Gadot
Literally the only thing we like here is the coat. Those pants are hideous and those shades look dumb on her.
Kristen Bell
Admittedly, it’s a cute look and this is a daytime event, which makes it not inappropriate. The jeans are significantly better than Awkwafina’s pair. Wearing two yellow sweaters at once is weird enough. She doesn’t need the matching bag.
Olivia Wilde
The outfit’s really cute. The eye makeup is wrong for it.
Pamela Anderson
Her hair looks nice. Nothing else does here. The pale shades don’t flatter her at all. Sorry, but it’s time to be blunt.
Regina King
This is weird, but she’s almost making it work for us? She looks like she rappelled into the event and took out some assassins before sitting down for lunch.
Rita Wilson
Cute suit. Not-so-great top.
Sarah Paulson
She doesn’t look she’s feeling this one so much and we don’t blame her.
Selena Gomez
She’s been returning to the Puritan/Wednesday Addams well a lot lately and we think it’s time for her to retire it. Tucking that jacket in was a terrible idea.
