It’s the Golden Globes nominations, darlings! Let’s get into this (with the understanding that the Globes are about as reputable and merit-based as getting a star on the Walk of Fame)! These are more about our predix, than our pix, to use Hollywoodspeak (that no one actually speaks).

Best Motion Picture (drama)

“The Brutalist”

“A Complete Unknown”

“Conclave”

“Dune: Part Two”

“Nickel Boys”

“September 5”

Honestly, given the Globes, who the hell knows? We’ll pick A Complete Unknown because biopics tend to do well.

Best Motion Picture (comedy or musical)

“Anora”

“Challengers”

“Emilia Perez”

“A Real Pain”

“The Substance”

“Wicked”

Oh, please.

Best Actor (drama)

Adrien Brody, “The Brutalist”

Timothée Chalamet, “A Complete Unknown”

Daniel Craig, “Queer”

Colman Domingo, “Sing Sing”

Ralph Fiennes, “Conclave”

Sebastian Stan, “The Apprentice”

It would definitely be interesting if the Globes wound up rewarding Stan’s Trump turn, but we suspect this comers down to Chalamet, Brody or Fiennes. Our guess is Timmee.

Best Actress (drama)

Pamela Anderson, “The Last Showgirl”

Angelina Jolie, “Maria”

Nicole Kidman, “Babygirl”

Tilda Swinton, “The Room Next Door”

Fernanda Torres, “I’m Still Here”

Kate Winslet, “Lee”

Pamela Anderson.

Best Actor (comedy or musical)

Jesse Eisenberg, “A Real Pain”

Hugh Grant, “Heretic”

Gabriel LaBelle, “Saturday Night”

Jesse Plemons, “Kinds of Kindness”

Glen Powell, “Hit Man”

Sebastian Stan, “A Different Man”

Stan with the double noms! We think Powell’s got this one.

Best Actress (comedy or musical)

Amy Adams, “Nightbitch”

Cynthia Erivo, “Wicked”

Karla Sofía Gascón, “Emilia Perez”

Mikey Madison, “Anora”

Demi Moore, “The Substance”

Zendaya, “Challengers”

It’s weird that some of these are listed as comedies, but of course Erivo’s getting this one.

Best Supporting Actor

Yura Borisov, “Anora”

Kieran Culkin, “A Real Pain”

Edward Norton “A Complete Unknown”

Guy Pearce, “The Brutalist”

Jeremy Strong, “The Apprentice”

Denzel Washington, “Gladiator II”

Norton’s getting some strong buzz, but we’d love to see this go to Borisov.

Best Supporting Actress

Selena Gomez, “Emilia Perez”

Ariana Grande, “Wicked”

Felicity Jones, “The Brutalist”

Margaret Qualley, “The Substance”

Isabella Rossellini, “Conclave”

Zoe Saldana, “Emilia Perez”

Ariana, of course.

Best Director

Jacques Audiard, “Emilia Perez”

Sean Baker, “Anora”

Edward Berger, “Conclave”

Brady Corbet, “The Brutalist”

Coralie Fargeat, “The Substance”

Payal Kapadia, “All We Imagine as Light”

An interesting and unexpected set of choices. We suspect the GGs aren’t going to show a lot of love to Emilia Perez, although we could be wrong about that. We’re going to suggest that Fargeat or Baker snag this one.

Best Screenplay

Jacques Audiard, “Emilia Pérez”

Sean Baker, “Anora”

Brady Corbet and Mona Fastvold, “The Brutalist”

Jesse Eisenberg, “A Real Pain”

Coralie Fargeat, “The Substance”

Peter Straughan, “Conclave”

The Brutalist or Conclave, we think.

Best Original Score

Volker Bertelmann, “Conclave”

Daniel Blumberg, “The Brutalist”

Kris Bowers, “The Wild Robot””

Clément Ducol, Camille, “Emilia Pérez”

Trent Reznor & Atticus Ross, “Challengers”

Hans Zimmer, “Dune: Part Two”

Best Original Song

“Beautiful That Way” from “The Last Showgirl”

“Compress/Repress” from “Challengers”

“El Mal” from Emilia Perez”

“Forbidden Road” from “Better Man”

“Kiss the Sky” from “The Wild Robot”

“Mi Camino” from “Emilia Perez”

Best Animated Motion Picture

“Flow”

“Inside Out 2”

“Memoir of a Snail”

“Moana 2”

“Wallace and Gromit: Vengeance Most Fowl”

“The Wild Robot”

Best Non-English Motion Picture

“All We Imagine as Light”

“Emilia Perez”

“The Girl with the Needle”

“I’m Still Here”

“The Seed of the Sacred Fig”

“Vermiglio”

Emilia Perez might snag this one, but we wonder if The Seed of the Sacred Fig might get it.

Cinematic Box Office Achievement

“Alien: Romulus”

“Beetlejuice Beetlejuice”

“Deadpool & Wolverine”

“Gladiator II”

“Inside Out 2”

“Twisters”

“Wicked”

“The Wild Robot”

Oh god, who cares?
