We’re currently packing for our trip, preloading a bunch of posts to go out while we’re airborne, and recording a podcast to soothe and distract you for at least an hour tomorrow. Help these two opinionated gays out for a minute, will you? We need you to come to a definitive conclusion on Olivia Colman’s outfit choice for the London premiere of Paddington in Peru:
She’s always preferred coverage in her style and she has a fairly adept sense of how to use color in bold ways to counter the modesty a little. All of this is in line with her entire red carpet history, although the pants were a bit of a surprise to see and we’re not entirely convinced on the ’70s style rocker shag. Having said that, it feels fun in a way that seems right for this premiere. We hate the train and we can’t help thinking that the bodice would have made for a better gown, although we’re certainly not critiquing her for wearing pants. We just think this pair needs hemming. And finally, if you think we’re being harsh bitches (quite possible) and are ready to vote this one IN, we’d just like to note that her posing does not indicate much comfort or confidence in what she’s wearing. She’s clutching that clutch so tight it makes us wonder if there’s some sort of malfunction going on. Anyway, the final call goes out to y’all. Let’s hear it.
