It’s not uncommon for cast members of films to pose together on the red carpet at events other than their premieres and photo calls, but it’s less common to see it when most of the cast is being floated as possible individual nominees. There’s a genuine sense of sisterhood among the cast of Emilia Perez. We don’t want to romanticize the professional relationships of movie stars (which tend to have a transactional quality more often than not), but Selena Gomez, Zoe Saldana and Karla Sofia Gascon all seem like they’d rally behind any one of them if they secured a nomination over the other two. Just an observation. Now let’s judge their dresses.
Gotta say, all three of them pretty much nailed their looks this time. Selena is working that prestige eleganza glam and Karla Sofia found a flattering variation on the dress style she favors most. The white brings your eye straight to her face and we don’t even mind the floppy shoulder bow. We won’t claim to be completely in love with Zoe’s retro-disco look, if only because that sage green looks more appropriate for upholstery, but we do like to see her in something a little different from her usual. She’s been doing a good job of broadening her style a bit this season. We can’t see Selena’s but the shoe situation is pretty hot.
