To our way of thinking, theme-dressing for your movie premiere is fine so long as you don’t engage in cosplay or don’t wind up restricting yourself to the same color scheme or narrow set of style parameters. Yes, we’re looking at you, Ariana and Cynthia. To be fair, it would be nearly impossible for the stars of Moana 2 to make those mistakes, since showing up in the characters’ costumes would be borderline offensive. Instead, they both opted to dress in styles that evoke island life. His jacket is great, but it looks incredibly stuffy and awkward paired with dress pants and dress shoes. Her gown is very pretty, but we don’t like the sheer yoke and the leaf applique is wildly overdone. From the side, she looks like she was festooned in some sort of garland.
