We’re putting you to the test on this one. The Piano Lesson star Danielle Deadwyler came to the opening ceremony of the SCAD Savannah Film Festival in a Prada gown that we love, even while we can admit it’s got some dicey elements to it.
Can you handle grommets? Hot pink velvet? Crystals and a patchwork effect? Because we’re thinking she can handle them just fine. We love this look. It combines traditional glamour with an offbeat sense of weirdness, which is where her style sweet spot lies, we think. She’s always been good at working the strange and making it seem less so. Is she pulling it off here? Or are we making too much of a slightly interesting, but basic gown? You tell us.
