Paul Mescal attended the Australian premiere of Gladiator II and is forcing us to do something we tend to avoid doing as much as possible. We’re going to praise a baby-poo brown suit.

There’s been so much fashion fuckery on the world’s red carpet of late that we find ourselves pleasantly surprised when someone shows up in a nice suit or dress that fits them correctly and is well styled. Similar to Danai Gurira’s rather basic gown last night, we’re drawn to this look simply because it looks nice and we can find no issues with it. It’s neither too large or too tight on him. The hem hits where it’s supposed to. The shoes are well chosen. Sure, the grooming could be a little better, but his sloppy head is a big part of his appeal. He’s giving his fans what they want to see. Having said all that, we hate the shirt and the fabric-colored buttons of the jacket.
