Question for the kittens to ponder: When you’re at the premiere of your highly buzzy film that’s being touted as a “sex worker Cinderella story,” as Anora star Mikey Madison is on the red carpet in New York, is it considered theme dressing if your dress is made out of fake nails? We’re just asking.
Because on the one hand, that seems like a fun, sort of cheeky way to get into the spirit of the film, but on the other hand, we suspect most of y’all wouldn’t have realized what it was made out of at first glance. We’re shocked at how well fitted it is and how relatively not-stiff it appears to be. We keep wanting to edit in some jewelry for her, but we’re not sure the look needs it. It’s sexy and head-turning, but it has a surprising elegance to it.

ABOUT THE MOVIE:
Sean Baker’s Palme d’Or winner ANORA is an audacious, thrilling, and comedic variation on a modern day Cinderella story. Mikey Madison (ONCE UPON A TIME IN HOLLYWOOD) captivates as Ani, a young sex worker from Brooklyn whose life takes an unexpected turn when she meets and impulsively marries Vanya, the impetuous son of a Russian billionaire. However, when Vanya’s parents catch wind of the union, they send their henchmen to annul the marriage, setting off a wild chase through the streets of New York.
