Leanin’ Eddie Redmayne joined his co-stars Úrsula Corberó and Lashana Lynch in London for the premiere of their series The Day of the Jackal. Last time was kind of a mess, but this time? Well, we won’t say it was all slay all day. See for yourselves:

We love a good tone-on-tone ensemble, but this is making us think that gray is a particularly poor color to try it. The hues range from rich to drab and they don’t complement each other all that well.

Well, it certainly is memorable, that’s for sure. The thing is, that Rorschach Test of a pattern is both ugly and too obscure to parse. Are those poodles? Carousel horses? Are they supposed to represent animals at all? What about the rest of the shapes? Those things on her hips? Weird dresses we can get behind. Weird dresses that are ugly and confusing, not so much.

This is better than her last dress, but we’re not in love with it. The color is gorgeous, but we tend to think a molded leather bodice makes for particularly poor maternity wear. We would never suggest she should wear heels with this, but those shoes are completely wrong for a gown. Just get yourself some fancy flip flops or ballet flats.
