We interrupt all of the high-falutin’ gownery of the Academy Museum Gala in order to present you this moment of sweater weather style, courtesy of famous alcohol distributor Blake Lively. The boozy businesswoman and occasional actress showed up to the New York Food and Wine Festival for an event hosted by her brand Betty Booze, and she opted to dress how she thinks New Yorkers dress in chilly weather:

By sporting a bunch of random items that don’t belong together, of course. How very Blake Lively. You might be fooled into thinking the dress and sweater match, but we don’t think you can turn a lace dress from a spring collection into a fall frock by throwing a cardigan over it. Just because they’re the same color doesn’t mean they go together. The boots are kind of fabulous, but again, completely wrong with a lace dress. With her, it’s all about slamming labels together rather than doing any thinking about coordinating different pieces.
