We love to see an A-list diva snag herself some A-list fashion. When Da’Vine Joy Randolph first started getting buzz for her performance in The Holdovers last year, we put the fashion world on notice that they better be throwing haute couture at this up-and-comer. It was a pleasure watching her navigate the awards track and receive better and better options for herself as she headed to the Oscars. Today, it’s not even all that notable that she’s sporting custom Louis Vuitton, except for the fact that she looks amazing in it.
She looks fantastic. The bodice is gorgeous and beautifully fitted to her. LV has been doing these tablecloth-style skirts a bit lately and we tend to think it’s a hit-or-miss design choice. We think this one would work better if the fabric didn’t look so flimsy and the colors were a little richer.
