VMAs 2024: Megan Thee Stallion in Nicole + Felicia Couture: IN or OUT?

Megan Thee Stallion wore more stage costumes than we can count for her Video Music Awards hosting duties and seemed to have a fun time expressing herself onstage. We suppose you could look at her arrival ensemble and see a preview of how she was going to spend the night.

Sexy whimsy was her style brief, it would seem. We’ll be honest: we love this. It’s gimmicky, sure. But the VMAs are not a night for the conventional and while we wrote for Cosmo that it looked like she was standing in a bag, we think it’s witty how the skirt manages to mimic a conventional mermaid gown but still manages to show off the bodysuit. If nothing else, the look inspired a “Would you look at that” response in us, which is hard to do after 15 years of red carpet blogging. But we know it’s weird and some folks aren’t going to be charmed enough by the whimsy to get over that, so let’s hear it, kittens:
