Good Lady Cate continued her Venice Film Festival style streak over the weekend, loosening up for one party and keeping things simple for someone else’s premiere.

This kind of look is such an easy no-brainer for her that if she said she woke up like this, we’d be inclined to believe her. No notes. How could there be? It’s a gorgeously simple gown that’s almost impossible to screw up. Maybe she could’ve dressed it up with jewelry, but we kind of like this phase in her style, where she’s keeping everything relatively simple and letting the garments provide all the drama. It’s a Swintonian approach and it works for her.
In Armani Privé at the Armani Beauty Passione Party
For the Armani Beauty Passione party, she arrived in the only manner one should for something called the Armani Beauty Passione party: looking hot as hell in custom Armani. The top is gorgeous. The pants make sense for it, but we keep trying to find a better option. We’re failing at coming up with one. We’d have liked silver sandals here.
