…also a little insane, it would seem. Naomi Watts hit the red carpet for the premiere of her movie The Friend, but it feels like she really wanted to be in New York with Taylor Swift and Chappell Roan. Not that undies and invisible dresses are only seen at MTV events. We’re afraid they’re right on the verge of becoming de rigueur at the Oscars, at this point. But we feel the need to reiterate that there are a lot of very pretty sheer gowns to be found out there. It’s not the exposure that bothers us, it’s the boring designs and repetitive choices that annoy. This feels extremely out of character for her. The thing is, we actually could learn to like this dress, but if you’re not going to wear the full lining of the runway version, we think it needs a body suit underneath, much more polished styling (her hair’s a mess), sheer black hose and a much more delicate footwear choice.
