We weren’t a hundred percent in love with the acid green gown Lupita Nyong’o wore to the TIFF premiere of The Wild Robot, so we’re happy to report that she’s back to understated chicness for the festival’s Tribute Awards ceremony.
It’s shimmery/sexy/chic and it couldn’t be more well-suited to her. We kind of like the low-key styling. Sure, she could pile on the slap and the jewels for a dress like this, but it seems to us she’s better off just letting it sing on her without interrupting the song, if that makes any sense. Two quibbles, however: we’re still not loving this hairstyle for her and the brown bag wasn’t needed at all.
