Amy Adams is back on the red carpet with the premiere of her super-buzzy film Nightbitch at the Toronto International Film Festival. Longtime readers might recall that we used to spend a lot of time bemoaning the style rut she’d found herself in, possibly in pursuit of prestige actress bona fides like the elusive Oscar. With this film, it feels like she’s loosening up a little and we think her choice of dress reflects that.
Granted, it’s not exactly some sort of shocking shift in her style, but this feels a little light, somehow. Maybe an odd thing to say about a gown with a bunch of metal attached to it, but she looks comfortable and confident in it. We go back and forth on the sleeve and bust designs. They both add interest, but taken on their own, we’d probably find them a little awkward.
